Most people only learn something when they have to, I am no different.
Lilo has served me well over the years and i think i understand it well enough to use it to do my bidding.
Recently upon installing Debian Sarge on my desktop i ended up with a system that needed to have a custom kernel built for it due to a few missing modules and found out i had grub installed which i have actively tried to avoid learning since i have not needed to, so i did what everyone( at least what i think everyone) would have done and tried to remove grub and reinstall lilo as the default boot manager and upon rebooting found myself staring at a non-bootable system stuck at a grub prompt.
Guess ill be learning grub today after all, i mumbled. |

Darl McBride has pretty much made more enemies in a short time than Bush has in Iraq. While there is nothing funny about Iraq there is quite a bit of humor to be found in the SCO case, particularly if you happen to read the Register out of the UK. They have a series they do called the BOFH which has done a little the world a great favor and putting the SCO case into terms the average joe could understand. The first bit that Simon Travaglia's recent BOFH: Protecting bodily waste in the public domain did on it was great at bringing the true meaning of the case to the general public as you can read here. |
